Caledonian Roots was born from the same heart as Hairy Highlander — a family-run business in the Northeast of Scotland, deeply inspired by the wild beauty of the Highlands. For over a decade, we’ve been crafting organic grooming products rooted in nature and tradition. And now, through Caledonian Roots, we’re bringing that same care, knowledge, and love for the land to natural skin care.
Our passion runs deep — from the organic botanicals we infuse to the way we live our lives. When we’re not hand-blending small batches of beard oils or skin care, we’re often off-grid: exploring remote glens, wild camping beneath the stars, or swimming in one of Scotland’s legendary lochs.
What started as a search for high-quality men’s grooming soon grew into a full philosophy — one that values purity, performance, and a deep connection to nature. Caledonian Roots brings that philosophy to face and body care for women, offering organic oils that are as nourishing as they are grounding. Formulated by those who live close to the land, these oils are designed to support your skin naturally and beautifully, season after season.

As part of the Hairy Highlander family, Caledonian Roots proudly supports rewilding efforts across the Scottish Highlands. We donate 10% of annual profits toward restoring native woodland and wild habitats in the North of Scotland.
We also get our hands dirty — quite literally — by organising clean-up days in the Cairngorms National Park, helping keep our wild spaces free from litter and thriving for generations to come.
