We are an independent art, gift and card shop in the southside of Glasgow. Absolutely all our products have been created by designers based in Scotland.
​We were established in August 2015 by Suzi Nicol, an art & craft lover, sewing enthusiast, jeweller and candle maker. She wanted to bring to the high street the incredible range of quality work available from local artists and makers.
We started by showcasing around 20 designers. Since then, we are proud to have grown to have work available from over 120 Scottish creatives.
Our artists & makers are based all across Scotland, from Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway right up to the top of the island of Unst on the Shetland Isles!

Our story begins in 1859, when James Kirkness, great-great-grandfather of the current owner, founded a grocers and wine merchant at 15 Broad Street in the heart of Kirkwall. This part of our business is still going strong, under the name Kirkness & Gorie.

Celtic Crafts is a small family gift shop situated beside Loch Ness in the village of Drumnadrochit, but you won’t find a stuffed Nessie in our shop! We stock a wide variety of gifts and jewellery and we pride ourselves on the exclusive and high end products that we offer. We take great pride in all our products being made in Scotland, and we try to source as much as possible from the local community. We’ve been in the same premises since 1990 and we’ve welcomed people into our shop from nearly every country around the world. In 2019, the founder Lenora Edwards decided to retire, so long term friend Julie took over the shop and has worked hard to keep Lenora’s legacy going, whilst also adding her own additions.
